Polyethylene (POLYETHYLENE, PE) is a polymer polymerized by ethylene. The product has been developed for about 60 years. The output of polyethylene in the world ranks first among the five most widely used resins.
Polyethylene is divided into high density polyethylene, low density polyethylene and linear low density polyethylene according to different polymerization methods, molecular weight and chain structure.
Low density polyethylene (LDPE), commonly known as high-pressure polyethylene, because of its low density, the softest material, mainly used in plastic bags, agricultural film, etc.
High density polyethylene (HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE, HDPE) is commonly known as low pressure polyethylene. Linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) is a copolymer of ethylene and a small amount of higher olefins in the presence of catalyst. LLDPE is similar to LDPE in appearance and poor in transparency, but it has good surface gloss, low temperature toughness, high modulus, flexural and stress cracking resistance, and better impact strength at low temperature.
